Community Roundup: West Philly Pop Up BBQ + Paper Shredding Day
At Philadelphia Federal Credit Union (PFCU), our neighborhoods are near and dear to our heart. Here’s a roundup of our latest community activities:
In the blink of an eye, summer is already over! Our final pop up BBQ was held on Thursday, September 8 in front of our West Philadelphia branch on Baltimore Ave. The PFCU team passed out over 200 hotdogs, chips and ice-cold waters as a way to thank our members and neighbors.
The team handed out more information about PFCU’s Member Referral Program. As a reminder, the Member Referral Program is a way to reward existing members who love PFCU. When a member refers a friend or family member to PFCU and they sign up for a qualifying service, both the existing member and the new member will receive $25.00 from PFCU. A Member Referral Coupon can be downloaded here.
We had a great time surprising and visiting with members at our pop up BBQs in Center City, Mt Airy, and West Philly. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. See you in summer 2017!
Saturday, September 17 was an official Paper Shredding Day at PFCU’s Operations Center at 12800 Townsend Road. Over 150 people brought their confidential documents, such as pre-approved credit card offers and cancelled checks, to safely shred their personal information. Shredding documents with sensitive information lowers the risk of identity theft. Keep an eye out for our next Paper Shredding Day by checking our community events calendar here.
At PFCU we’re committed to helping our members and community improve their day-to-day lives. Check out our social pages for upcoming events held throughout the city!
