PFCU Scholarship Program
You are our Best Investment
Philadelphia Federal Credit Union is pleased to offer an Annual Scholarship Program to award selected young members with funds for their continuing education.
PFCU created the Scholarship Program in 2004 to further our philosophy of giving back to members and the communities that we serve. Our commitment to the young leaders in our communities demonstrates a firm belief in their ability to pursue their life's desires and dreams.
Four $2,500 scholarships are awarded to high school seniors that are members in good standing of the Credit Union. Applications require transcripts, a teacher's reference and two completed essay questions.
The 2023 Scholarship Program has ended. Please check back next Spring for the 2024 Program details.
Eligibility: The applicant must
- Be a member of PFCU in good standing
- Be enrolled as a high school senior at the time of application
- Agree to take a photo with certificate and send photo to PFCU, and
- Use scholarship funds for tuition or textbooks only at an accredited education institution
Employees of PFCU, directors, volunteers and their immediate families are ineligible to participate.
Selection Process
Judging is based on subjective criteria including essays, weighted objective criteria, academic performance, extracurricular and community activities, references and personal goals. Those selected must appear in person to receive their scholarships and take part in a photo. If any winner fails to attend at their predetermined meeting time, another winner will be selected in his or her place.
