Community Roundup: Project WoW, IT Pre-Apprentice Students, and Sponsoring Depaul USA Fundraising Gala

On Wednesday, September 1, Erin discussed banking and building credit in-person with Project WoW and IT Pre-Apprentice students at Orleans Tech.

On Wednesday, September 8, Erin hosted a webinar with members of the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium and AmeriCorps VISTA and State members. During the webinar, Erin discussed how participants can manage their AmeriCorps stipend, how to maximize resources, and budget limited income.

For members interested in learning about credit basics, Erin hosted a "Credit 101: Introduction to Credit" webinar on Tuesday, September 14.

On Tuesday, September 21, Erin and special guest, Brian Pultro, Financial Planner, AIF®, BFA™, RFC®, hosted an "Investing and Retirement Basics" webinar for members to learn the basics about investing and saving for retirement.

On Thursday, September 23, PFCU sponsored the Depaul USA Fundraising Gala. As a member of the committee, Erin helped plan this year's festivities. Proceeds from the gala provided housing, case management, counseling, financial education, and job training to help individuals in Philadelphia exiting homelessness. The event also supported the Dax Program at St. Joseph's House, which opened last year to support homeless and housing-insecure college students.
