Community Roundup: Mural Dedication Ceremony and 2016 Scholarship Winners!

Jun 3, 2016

At Philadelphia Federal Credit Union, our neighborhoods are near and dear to our heart. Here's a roundup of our latest community activities:

On Saturday, May 21, Philadelphia Federal Credit Union unveiled the finished mural at a dedication ceremony across from the Fishtown branch on East Dauphin Street. The ceremony kicked off with a performance from the Kensington CAPA drum corps.

Representatives from PFCU, The City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, NKCDC, and city council joined together to commemorate the year-long process.

After the ceremony, neighbors celebrated the 2016 Philadelphia Federal Credit Union Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby and Arts festival with dozens of Philly food trucks and vendors. After perusing the various artist booths and checking out the live performances, spectators gathered around to watch as the sculptures made their way through the infamous mud-pit.

Last month, PFCU awarded four scholarships to Philadelphia area high school seniors. Each winner received $2,500 toward continuing their education. PFCU is committed to the young leaders in our community. Thanks to everyone who entered!
