Community Roundup: Bustleton Branch – Free Library of Philadelphia Virtual Event and Money Management & Credit 101 Webinars
COVID-19 has changed many things, but it hasn't changed our commitment to our community. In February, we strengthened our commitment to several local organizations to support Philadelphians and our members by hosting a few virtual sessions.
Highlights of our latest community activities:
- Bustleton Branch and William H. Loesche Elementary School Virtual Event. From February 9th through the 11th, Erin Ellis collaborated with Neejla Musitief, Children's Librarian at the Bustleton Branch – Free Library of Philadelphia, and hosted a series of virtual sessions for second grade students at William H. Loesche Elementary School. Each day, the lessons taught by Erin were inspired by the book Save It!, and students were invited to personalize money jars donated by PFCU with images of their savings goals.
- Money Management: Balancing Income and Expenses Webinar. To establish healthy money habits, members were invited to attend the Money Management Webinar to learn how to build a spending plan to better manage their money.
- Credit 101: Introduction to Credit Webinar. To learn about credit basics, members were invited to attend the Credit 101 Webinar. Participants were taught everything from what makes up a credit score to how to improve your credit score.
For more than a year, we have hosted webinars and free virtual events to provide useful information for our community.
