PFCU in the Community: Q1 2026
At PFCU, the role in our communities goes beyond participation, it’s about being a consistent presence and a reliable partner. As the year began, our team leaned into opportunities to connect with local organizations, support meaningful initiatives, and engage with the people who make our city and surrounding neighborhoods so vibrant. Each interaction helped strengthen the relationships that drive our community forward. Here’s a look at how we started the year:
Glenside Branch New Account Promotion Winner
On January 14, PFCU celebrated the winner of its Glenside Branch new account promotion. Kasib Parham was randomly selected to receive an Ultimate Tailgate Package valued at $1,000, with eligible entries including all new accounts opened by December 31, 2025. The prize was presented in-branch by Tiffini Fisher-Diakite, Glenside Branch Manager, creating a memorable moment that highlighted PFCU’s commitment to rewarding and engaging with its members.

Temple University Men’s Basketball Sponsorship Game
On January 18, as part of PFCU’s ongoing community partnerships, representatives attended the Temple University Men’s Basketball game against Florida Atlantic University. The event provided an opportunity to support the program while engaging with fans and the broader university community. During the game, PFCU participated in an on-court ball presentation recognizing the partnership, reinforcing its connection to Temple Athletics.

Saint Joseph’s University Women’s Basketball Sponsorship Game
Also on January 18, PFCU participated in the Saint Joseph’s University Women’s Basketball sponsorship game. PFCU leadership and team members took part in an on-court ball presentation and connected with Hawks fans through in-arena tabling and giveaways. The event served as another opportunity to strengthen visibility and demonstrate continued support for local collegiate athletics.

Temple Men’s Basketball Game Sponsorship Activation
On February 15, Shannon Lutz, PFCU Business Development Specialist, attended the Temple Men’s Basketball game to engage with fans by distributing PFCU literature and free giveaways. The game also featured a celebration for Hooter the Owl’s birthday, adding to the festive and energetic atmosphere while creating additional opportunities for fan interaction.

PYN Career Panel
On February 21, PFCU participated in PYN’s Career Panel at the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships. The event brought together students and industry professionals for meaningful discussions around career pathways, mentorship, and professional development. PFCU’s involvement reflects its continued commitment to supporting youth and investing in the future workforce.

On February 25, PFCU sponsored Saint Joseph’s University Men’s Basketball for its second partnership game of the season. On March 14, PFCU proudly sponsored the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, joining the Philadelphia community in a celebration of tradition and culture. On March 20, PFCU representatives attended the Temple Sports Business Conference hosted by The Sport and Governance Association at Temple University. The event provided an opportunity to connect with students and professionals while participating in conversations around sports, business, and career development, further strengthening ties within the university community.

Community Connection Night
On March 24, PFCU participated in Community Connection Night hosted by Representative Joanna E. McClinton at W.C. Longstreth Elementary School. The event brought together local residents and organizations to build relationships and strengthen neighborhood connections, reinforcing PFCU’s commitment to being present and engaged within the communities it serves.
