Floating Assistant Branch Manager

Position Title: Floating Assistant Branch Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary: Starting $20.00 - $21.00 per hour *based on experience

As a member of this team, your primary responsibility is to serve and satisfy the credit union members. This includes whether your job involves dealing with members directly or providing service to someone who does. You will manage and be held accountable for the overall successful operation of a retail branch office in the absence of a Branch Manager.

What You'll Be Doing...

  • Ability to travel to remote locations throughout a designated branch region as needed.
  • Serve and satisfy the credit union members by resolving problems, responding to complaints, and providing service within the guidelines of the service standards set forth by the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a professional branch image including, but not limited to: employee and branch professional image, current marketing materials, cleanliness of the office, etc.
  • Make independent sound judgmental decisions regarding member transactions, technical, and operational issues.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less seasoned staff members by assisting with member related issues, out of balance conditions, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations (Reg CC, Bank Secrecy Act, Bank Privacy Act, etc.)
  • Open, close, and oversee the daily operation of the branch as needed and in accordance with branch scheduling and within the security and operational guidelines set by PFCU.
  • Create and modify schedules as required to meet member traffic flow demands
  • Assist with training new employees on credit union policies and procedures as well as processing member transactions.
  • Conduct weekly employee observations to ensure compliance with the branch non-negotiable service standards.
  • Preparation of various monthly reports to include, but not limited to, teller cash audits, over/short, and fee reversal reports.
  • Provide monthly feedback to branch manager on performance related issues.
  • Ability to input, book, and QC loans.
  • Perform transactions relevant to the balancing of the branch, including ATM, vault, CDM, and cash recycler settlement.
  • Communicate any teller or branch out of balance condition of $500 or more to the Branch Manager, VP of Member Service and Internal Auditor on the same business day.
  • Perform teller/MSR duties on a relief or overload basis.
  • Complete periodic training/certification for, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • A minimum of 36 months previous exposure to handling cash and dealing with the public, preferably in a financial institution. Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Ability to travel within the branch network as needed
  • Flexibility with scheduling
  • Must meet the eligibility requirements for NMLS registration
  • Must have knowledge of and ability to perform all branch Teller and MSS duties on a consistent basis
  • Must be proficient in all credit union products, services, system programs, and equipment.
  • PC proficiency required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
