Community Roundup: Mural Paint Days, Mt Airy Small Business Workshop and more!
At Philadelphia Federal Credit Union, we value our community and actively work to enrich our neighborhoods. Here’s a roundup of our latest community initiatives:
Jamie Shanker (Business Association Manager, Mt. Airy USA), Robert Scavilla (CEO, FourFront), Cherill Wilson (Associate Director, Temple University SBDC), Morgan Stewart (Business Lending Manager, PFCU) and Giana Lawrence (Commerce Department, City of Philadelphia) serve as our panel, answering questions from NW Philly small business owners.
This month, we teamed up with
Mt. Airy USA to rally small business owners at the brand new Philadelphia Immigrant Innovation Hub on Germantown Avenue. We invited local business experts from
FourFront,
Temple Small Business Development Center, and the
City of Philadelphia to discuss how local operations can invest in upgrades to help their businesses improve and grow. Thank you to all who came out during this special night. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Students at Kensington CAPA pitch in to help paint a section of the PFCU Mural, which will be installed at East Dauphin Street and Frankford Avenue in May, 2016.
The PFCU Mural is well on its way, with help from our friends at Kensington CAPA. If you’re interested in helping us bring our mural to life, we’ll be hosting another community paint day on March 26th. Be sure to
sign up on our website.
On Saturday, February 20th, PFCU supported the Bloomsburg University men’s basketball team in Bloomsburg, PA. BU took home the win with a score of 76 – 72. Go Huskies!
