Community Roundup: MLK Day of Service + Eastern Polar Plunge + Eagles Spirit Day
At Philadelphia Federal Credit Union (PFCU), our neighborhoods are near and dear to our heart. Here’s a roundup of our latest community activities:
PFCU hosted a free financial education workshop entitled, “Credit Doesn’t Have to be Confusing,” in the Elementary School at Girard College as part of its participation in the 23rd annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 15. PFCU is proud to participate in the largest King Day of Service in the nation by offering lessons about how credit works and how to manage finances to the Philadelphia community.
On Saturday, Jan. 20, PFCU employees participated in the Eastern Polar Plunge hosted by Special Olympics PA. The PFCU Board of Directors matched employee donations of $2,500 to reach a grand total of $5,000.

This month, PFCU employees supported the Philadelphia Eagles by wearing jerseys and “underdog” masks in preparation for the NFC Conference Championship against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Jan. 21. We’re proud to continue to support our city’s team as they head to the Super Bowl! GO BIRDS!
