Community Roundup: Eastern Polar Plunge and Temple U Men’s Basketball Game

At Philadelphia Federal Credit Union (PFCU), our neighborhoods are near and dear to our heart. Here’s a roundup of our latest community activities:

On Saturday, January 26, PFCU employees participated in the 2019 Eastern Polar Plunge in Neshaminy Park to celebrate 11 years of “Freezin for a Reason.” Funds from the Eastern Polar Plunge help to enrich the lives of nearly 20,000 Special Olympics athletes, allowing them to train and compete free of charge as well as enjoy the many benefits that the programs have to offer. Other benefits include free medical screenings, becoming more social, building long lasting friendships, leadership opportunities, increasing self-confidence and much more. In total, PFCU donated $5,000 to Special Olympics Pennsylvania at the event.

The PFCU Mighty Moolas braved the frigid waters of the Delaware River to support The Special Olympics.

PFCU proudly sponsored the Temple University Men’s Basketball game on Sunday, January 27. The first 1,000 fans received a pair of co-branded knit gloves. We love cheering on the Owls!
