Verified by Visa is a security program designed to protect the online shopper. It is a service that allows cardholders to add a personal password to their existing plastic card that will be used to validate their identity when making a purchase at participating online merchants, in addition to helping prevent the unauthorized use of a cardholder's card number.

When registering your cards on Verified by Visa make sure you are using capital letters and entering your information exactly the way it appears on your card. Also, do not place a period after your middle initial when entering your information on Verified by Visa. If you are not entering the information exactly the way it appears on your card, then you will receive the above error message.
It is possible that the joint owner's social security number and date of birth information need to be updated with PFCU. If you are unable to register a joint owner's card on Verified by Visa, please call a member service representative at 215-934-3500 or 800-832-PFCU.

We will not use or disclose any cardholder information entered on the site for any other purpose. We want you to be assured that the information is properly safeguarded. Credit and debit card information is transmitted using a high level of encryption, and is stored on our secure server behind a firewall to protect against unauthorized access.
Once the cardholder is registered for Verified by Visa, his/her card number will be recognized whenever a purchase is made at participating online merchants. Many online merchants are already participating in Verified by Visa, and more merchants are signing up every day!

By creating a password hint when you register, you can refer to it in case you forget or lose your password.
If a password has been forgotten, cardholders should call 888-918-7490 and request a password reset. A temporary password will be assigned.
The added protection of Verified by Visa is available as soon as the registration process is completed. Once registered, the cardholder can begin shopping at participating stores immediately.
Yes. When each card is registered for Verified by Visa, a Password will be selected for each card and will be associated with it. It's up to the cardholder to choose the password for each different account.
No. The password needs to be between 6-10 characters, which includes at least one number and one letter.
Yes. However they will not be asked for their Verified by Visa password. To complete the purchase at such merchants, the regular checkout process needs to be followed.
Yes, one of the great advantages of Verified by Visa is that it works with just about any device with an Internet connection. There's no special software to install.
Verified by Visa requires the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or above, Netscape Navigator 4.0 or above, or America Online 4.0 or above. The Macintosh Operating System is currently not supported.
128-bit Encryption refers to the level that transmitted data is encoded, providing highly secure data transmission over the Internet. This level of encryption is only available for United States based Web browsers. Other countries may be limited to 56-bit, which may prevent use of our Web sites from countries outside of the United States.
If using Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, click on the Help menu, and select about. This will display your current version and browser encryption level (i.e. 128-bit or 40-bit).
