Position Title: Consumer Loan Processor I
Job Type: Full-Time
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 Hourly

As a member of this team, your primary responsibility is to serve and satisfy the credit union members. This includes whether your job involves dealing with members directly or providing service to someone who does.

This position requires employee to provide loan services in all branch offices or the operations center. Striving to provide excellent member service is employee's primary goal.

Essential Functions & Basic Duties

  • Must meet departmental minimum standards
  • Accurately process signature, PFCU credit line, automobile, boat, motorcycle, rv and share secured loan applications received through the mail, Internet, E-mail and the Express Center.
  • Process loan applications submitted at all branch offices, if needed.
  • Prepare closing documents for all consumer loans.
  • Responds to member loan requests and inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Provide loan services to members quickly and efficiently.
  • Produces accurate loan documentation.
  • Report loans as required by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA).
  • Consistently maintain expected level of production.
  • Provide general information to members regarding credit union products and services.
  • Answer member telephone calls.
  • Complete periodic training/certification for, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Contributes to the team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
  • Basic knowledge of all PFCU products and services.
  • Thorough knowledge of Symitar system.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Thorough knowledge of PFCU loan policy & procedure.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Akcelerant loan processing system.
  • Basic knowledge of the various rules and regulations governing loan services (Reg. B, Reg. Z, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Reg. C, ECOA, RESPA, HMDA & Fair Housing Act)
  • Ability to read and interpret credit reports.
  • Basic knowledge of all PFCU products and services.
  • PC proficiency required, with Microsoft Word preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAP & MBP product with the ability to sell it.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous financial and/or member service experience desired
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Employee must have at least 1 year of employment with PFCU before posting.
  • Employee must register with the NMLS Registry as required by the S.A.F.E. Act.
