Although not technically summer yet, PFCU was spotted around town a few weekends ago enjoying the summer-like weather at several community events.
On Saturday, June 7, PFCU served as a proud corporate sponsor of the 14th Annual K&A Market Fest, which is hosted each year by the Kensington and Allegheny Business Association. Attendees enjoyed live entertainment and filled up on delectable treats from some of Philly’s most beloved food trucks. It was especially exciting to be there this year as we recently celebrated the one-year milestone of PFCU’s Kensington neighborhood branch opening.
The same day, the community was invited to come out to PFCU’s South Philadelphia branch to shred pre-approved credit card offers, canceled checks and other confidential documents during the branch’s highly successful Shredding Day event. Attendees took precaution in protecting themselves from identity theft while at the same time doing their part to help save the planet.
On Sunday, PFCU joined the West Philadelphia community at the Dock Street 6th Annual Free Music Fest and Scavenger Run. PFCU once again served as presenting sponsor for this event and had a team of employees participating in the day’s festivities, all of which celebrated the culmination of Philly Beer Week. PFCU Business Development Representatives were also on hand to distribute free giveaways and promote its products and services to all spectators and attendees.
The annual event featured two main events: a casual “scenic-adventure” run through University City and West Philly, followed by a free music concert. Attendees enjoyed musical entertainment from some of West Philly’s best bands, ranging from Eastern European folk and jazz to hip hop and soul.
