6 ABC Action News: PFCU Surprises Back-to-Savings Art Contest Winner and Entire Class with Prizes

On Tuesday, December 3, Philadelphia Federal Credit Union surprised one of the winners of our 2nd Annual Back-to-Savings Art Contest designed to teach Philadelphia-area 3rd, 4th and 5th graders the importance of starting to save money at an early age. One of the winners, Jason Chen, a fourth grader at Blessed Trinity Regional Catholic School in Northeast Philadelphia, received school supplies for his entire classroom ($250 value) along with a personal $100 savings account. Our mascot, Moola Moola and Financial Educator, Dominique Jenkins were on hand to deliver the prizes and talk to Jason and his classmates about good financial habits.

6 ABC Action News covered the surprise delivery on Tuesday evening. In case you missed the coverage.

Justin Dennis, a third grader at St Francis de Sales is the other winner of this year’s art contest and he and his classmates will be awarded prizes on Friday, December 6. If you are interested in having your school participate in the competition next year, please email PFCU at artcontest@pfcu.com.
